Rude Boy Records is a German independent record label which was founded in 1994 as its own enterprise by ASR. Within the walls of Rude Boy Records, you can hear anything from Hip Hop to Rock, Jazz to Electronica, R&B to Alternative. We have decided not to allow ourselves to be caged into only one genre of music production. But Rude Boy Records is not only a production by ASR, it's also a music publishing company with distributions by Sony BMG and SPV GmbH.

In the beginning of its company history, the label mainly dropped rap music inspired by Advanced Chemistrys' co-founder Mike MD. Today, Rude Boy Records productions strives to develop and support creative, authentic music and the love of it.

Vincent Wilkie & the Unexpected, a music band focusing in rap, rock and experimental sounds consisting of Ralf Hentschel, Matthias Hippler, Fabrice Koch and Juergen Riescher.

Vincent Wilkie, an electronic singer and songwriter who later became lotte ohm, discovered modern music at the end of the 1970s after having built his first electric guitar of cardboard and rubber bands in his parents garage. Having spent a rather long time unsuccessfully trying to convince record labels of the merit of his inventions, he finally struck gold, founded his first music band "Vincent Wilkie & the Unexpected" and launched his own indie label called Maybourne Music which was released through Rude Boy Records. In 1993, the group released their first single titled "Waited far too long" followed by their full album "A pocketfull of truth" in 1994.

Vincent Wilkie is now reborn as Instant Wilkie for reasons best known to himself. Apparently, he knows what it means, but he can't explain.
