Rude Boy Records is a German independent record label which was founded in 1994 as its own enterprise by ASR. Within the walls of Rude Boy Records, you can hear anything from Hip Hop to Rock, Jazz to Electronica, R&B to Alternative. We have decided not to allow ourselves to be caged into only one genre of music production. But Rude Boy Records is not only a production by ASR, it's also a music publishing company with distributions by Sony BMG and SPV GmbH.
In the beginning of its company history, the label mainly dropped rap music inspired by Advanced Chemistrys' co-founder Mike MD. Today, Rude Boy Records productions strives to develop and support creative, authentic music and the love of it.

Colours United was founded back in the days when breakdancing exploded in Germany at the beginning of the eighties. The hip hop group consisted of Bronx (NYC) born Dee Smoove (rap, lyrics), Advanced Chemistry's co-founder DJ Mike MD (music, scratches) and the C.U. Posse, and was backed up by producer Chris Flanger. Mike MD started breakdancing in 1983. One year later, he also started DJing by mixing tracks on tape for himself and his homies to practice b-boying. After a further year, he started producing and playing in with the hip hop band called Colours United, together with Dee Smoove. Early vinyl and compact disc releases had followed.
In 1991, the duo released their official debut single "Legally Dope" with a cover version of George Michaels "I Want Your Sex" followed by their hit "Stop the racism", a song which became an anthem of the "Kein Hass im wilden Süden" campaign after a little while. In 1995, they released their first full album titled "You talk 2 much" on Rude Boy Records, recorded at the Mystical Hunters Studio in Stuttgart.
